Meet Coach Bret Peppler
Bret Peppler is a Saskatchewan-born former professional right winger who played 188 SPHL games and recorded 98 points, including time with the Florida Seals and Louisiana IceGators. After his playing career, he moved into player development as an off-ice strength and conditioning coach, a Power Edge Pro-certified skills and power-skating coach, and an assistant coach with the Yorkton Terriers. Today, Bret works with youth and adult players through on-ice and off-ice training, camps in Saskatchewan and Florida, and private video coaching.

Who is the Squirley Hockey Academy for?
Youth and adult players can use the academy. Start with the assessment, choose the right track, and work through on-ice or off-ice lessons at your own pace.
Do I need a rink or special equipment?
No permanent facility is required. Many off-ice lessons use minimal equipment. On-ice lessons require access to ice and properly fitted hockey safety gear; Squirley Hockey does not currently offer equipment rentals.
Can youth and adult players both use the program?
Yes. The academy is designed for youth and adult players. Start with the assessment and choose the lessons that match your current level, goals, and access to ice or gym equipment.
How does private video coaching work?
Book a private 60-minute Zoom session for $120. Submit a game or practice clip and your goals before the call so Bret can focus the review and give you a practical development plan.
What is included in Bret’s hockey camps?
Camp content varies by event and may include skating, puck skills, game situations, off-ice development, and competitive habits. Age groups, dates, pricing, and host rinks are announced for each camp.
